American rock icon, Bruce Springsteen is set to visit Dublin for a number of dates in May and will use the opportunity to research his Irish roots.
Springsteen, who was taught by Irish nuns at the Catholic St Rose of Lima School in Freehold Borough, admitted in 2012 that his Catholic upbringing was one of the main influences on his music. He explained that his faith had given him a “very active spiritual life,” adding, “once a Catholic, always a Catholic”.
The Boss will play Croke Park on 27th May 2016, as part of his The River Tour 2016. There is speculation that a further two dates could be added in Dublin due to the expected high demand for tickets.
