New CEO for Thai Children’s Trust

Thai Children’s Trust has appointed Adrian Hatch as its new Chief Executive. Mr Hatch took up his post on 1st March 2016, taking forward the care, health and education of some of the most disadvantaged and needy children in Thailand.

This new challenge is familiar territory for Mr Hatch, who already has extensive experience of development work from his role as CEO of International Refugee Trust (IRT), which he spearheaded for the last nine years.

The similarities continue. His Catholic background allows him to identify closely with this Catholic-inspired charity, which has as its Patrons, the Archbishop of Westminster, Cardinal Vincent Nichols and the Bishop of Leeds, Marcus Stock. It was the Redemptorist priest, Fr Ray Brennan, who was first supported by the charity for his orphanage in Pattaya, and latterly Fr Mick Shea who continues to help HIV/AIDS orphans in the north of the country.

Moreover Mr Hatch has a passion for Thailand having supported in his previous role several orphanages and schools on the Thai-Burma border. He has renewed this with an initial familiarisation visit to Thailand, seeing the projects at first hand and meeting the key people on the ground.

“I am absolutely delighted to be heading up Thai Children’s Trust,” said Me Hatch. “To have the opportunity of an induction like this to plan forward has been invaluable. I look forward to developing a strong and dynamic working relationship with all the charity’s stakeholders and carrying on the good work of my predecessor, Andrew Scadding. I am sure it will be a tough but rewarding challenge.”
